"But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear; for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it."

This fragment of liturgy is perfectly appropriate to be carved here as the Gospel is read from the pulpit and the shelf serves to venerate the saints who lived out the Gospels and Invite us to do the same.

The addition of this relic holder on the existing pulpit marks the beginning of the work being done at St. Mark & St. Mary of Egypt Coptic Orthodox Church in Ottawa. By the grace of God, we will have an Iconostasis built in the coming months to further invite the faithful into prayer during the Divine Liturgy and it's peripheral services.
