ⲙⲉⲑⲙⲏⲓ [ᴛʀᴜᴛʜ]

“[Love]… does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.”
1 Corinthians 13:6

St. Isaac the Syrian mentions the following: “love is the offspring of knowledge of the truth which, as commonly confessed, is given to all”

This wooden cross is hand carved from a single solid piece of mahogany and subtly reflects what St. Isaac is speaking of. Christ is the Truth, represented in His cross, as seen carved in the recess of the piece. Coming out of the center cross are four hearts(offspring of knowledge of the truth), which, combined with each other also resemble pillars to illustrate the strength of love founded in Christ. The thin, central cross, is made to stretch out and touch all parts of the overall piece to represent, as St. Isaac tells us, it “is given to all”.
