ⲁⲏⲣ [ᴀɪʀ]

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end."
- Ecclesiastes 3:11

This cross was made for a monk at the Monastery of Al-Baramus in Egypt. I changed the design I had in mind after meeting him because he was very peaceful and beautiful. I wanted the cross to fit him, both in simplicity and intricacy.

The pattern was actually based off of a picture I took of an air conditioning vent at the Natural History Museum in London(shown on my website). I loved how something made to fulfill a simple purpose could still be worthy of making look beautiful.
