This cabin was built to offer people a place to be in solitude, one on one with God. It is completely off grid and has no electricity, it has a wood stove and sink, as well as a bed and a desk. Candles and oil lamps provide light for the later hours of the day. It accommodates as little stimulation as possible in order to be focused and still. Stillness, in a world of excessive movement, has become more and more necessary for one's own peace and for the sake of the world. We are at war against the whiles of the demons who seek to take our lives. "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." - Ephesians 6:12.

St. Seraphim of Sarov said "Acquire the Spirit of Peace and a thousand souls around you will be saved". The Saint lived in the forest of Sarov and built for himself a small log cabin. He would pray constantly through the intercession of his beloved, Ever-Virgin, Mother of God. She would appear to him and comfort him in his final years, finally, St. Seraphim was found deceased by the icon of his Mother. For this reason, blue was the obvious choice for the roof, the logs for St. Seraphim and the blue roof for the Theotokos, that she would watch over and shelter all who strive to acquire the Spirit of Peace at this cabin.

This log cabin was built with the use hand tools, solely, by the grace of God. Every single log was hand peeled, sawed, and manually hoisted one on top of the other.
